GSRTC operates 120 extra buses for Pavagadh & Matana Madh fairs during Navratri

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is operating a total of 120 extra ST buses to facilitate travel for citizens attending the Aso fairs at Pavagadh and Matana Madh in Kutch during the ongoing Navratri festival. According to GSRTC, these additional buses will benefit more than 8.20 lakh visitors across the state.

As per GSRTC, last year during Navratri, 7 lakh people attended the Pavagadh fair with the operation of 50 extra buses, while 63 thousand visitors attended the Matana Madh fair with 60 extra buses. In 2025, GSRTC has enhanced facilities by operating 55 extra buses daily from Pavagadh to Manchi for the benefit of an estimated 7.5 lakh pilgrims, and 65 extra buses from various talukas of Kutch district to Matana Madh to serve an estimated 70 thousand pilgrims. In total, 8.20 lakh pilgrims are expected to be able to conveniently attend the fairs.

The Aso Navratri Mela at Pavagadh is being held from September 22 to October 7, 2025, while the Matana Madh fair in Kutch is being held from September 18 to September 30, 2025. During these fairs, GSRTC buses will operate 24×7. DeshGujarat
