Will Rain dampen Diwali glow in Gujarat? Here’s what IMD forecast predicts

Ahmedabad: The southwest monsoon has already withdrawn from the state, and no major rainfall activity has been reported over the past few days. However, clouds of rain and uncertainty loom over the upcoming festival of lights, Diwali, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall during the festive week in parts of Gujarat.
The IMD’s latest forecast has predicted rainfall in a few districts, including Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Navsari, Tapi, Valsad, and Dang, between 16th and 21st October. This means that Diwali, which falls on 20th October, might see rain in isolated areas of South Gujarat and Gir Somnath in coastal Saurashtra.
