Vadodara: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has introduced a new vehicle parking management system at Vadodara Airport, effective Sunday, as part of its revised parking policy. Additionally, under the updated rules, three-wheelers are no longer permitted to enter the airport premises.
The parking contract has been allotted to M/s S S Multiservices, which began operations the same day. According to Airport Director M. S. I. Dawood, the revamped parking policy aims to streamline traffic flow, enhance passenger convenience, and improve operational efficiency.
As per the new tariff, parking charges for the first 30 minutes are set at ₹10 for two-wheelers, ₹30 for private cars and SUVs (up to seven seats), ₹43 for commercial cars, ₹60 for tempos, SUVs, and minibuses (over seven seats), and ₹170 for coaches, buses, and trucks (for both pickup and drop).
For parking durations between 30 and 120 minutes, the rates will be ₹15 for two-wheelers, ₹40 for private cars/SUVs, ₹98 for commercial cars, ₹80 for tempos/SUVs/minibuses, and ₹250 for coaches/buses/trucks.
Beyond two hours, four-wheelers will be charged an additional ₹10 per hour, while two-wheelers will incur ₹5 extra per hour. Parking for durations beyond seven hours and up to 24 hours will cost three times the 30-minute rate.
Privately registered vehicles will, however, be exempted from parking charges for pickup and drop-off if they exit the premises within eight minutes, the official added. DeshGujarat
