Morari Bapu, K.J.S. Dhillon, Kirtidan Gadhvi to be part of Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), in collaboration with the National Book Trust, India, will host the Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025 under the Vanche Gujarat 2.0 initiative. The event will be held from November 13 to 23, 2025, at the Riverfront Event Centre, Paldi.
According to the AMC, the festival will feature several renowned national-level speakers, including Lt. Gen. K.J.S. Dhillon, K. Vijay Kumar (Retd. IPS), and Swapnil Pandey. Prominent Gujarati authors will also participate in various sessions to engage with readers and share their insights.
Among the key attractions, the session ‘Sahitya Mane Game Chhe’ will feature eminent personalities such as Morari Bapu, Tushar Shukla, Bhagyesh Jha, and Jagdish Trivedi, who will share their thoughts on the intersection of literature and spirituality. In ‘Loksagar na Moti’, popular folk singer Kirtidan Gadhvi will deliver a live performance celebrating Gujarati folk music and literature.
In the musical poetry event ‘Vans Morni Virasat – Gujarati Kavya Sangeet’, poet Ankit Trivedi and his group will present a live rendition of Gujarati poetic compositions. The ‘Kavyarang – Geet Ghazal/Mushayra’ session will feature renowned poets and ghazal artists such as Sanju Vala, Rajendra Shukla, Kiransinh Chauhan, Bhavesh Bhatt, Bhavin Gopani, Krishna Dave, Usha Upadhyay, Harshvi Patel, Dalpat Padhiar, Rajesh Vyas ‘Miskin’, and Harsh Brahmbhatt.
The ‘Shabd Sansar’ series will feature well-known authors discussing the impact of literature on life. In Part 1, author Jay Vasavada will speak about literature’s influence on his personal journey. Part 2 will see celebrated writer Kajal Oza Vaidya discuss the connection between literature and life, while Part 3 will feature author Swapnil Pandey (The Force Behind the Force) leading a literary dialogue. In another session, ‘Vanchikam’, Naishadh Purani and his team will present dramatic and musical readings of popular Gujarati short stories.
The ‘Dil Ki Kalam Se’ program will explore poetic elements in Hindi film songs through live performances by singers Chirag Desai, Shyam Gadhvi, Salim Malik, Anal Vasavada, and Payal Vakharia, accompanied by music directed by Sandeep Christian and a team of eight musicians. The session will be compered by Harsh Brahmbhatt.
Additionally, under the ‘Vichar Manthan Sessions’, expert talks will be held on themes such as Swadeshi and Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance). As part of the ‘Startup Manch’, i-Hub will showcase innovative startup projects and host technical sessions with experts. Anant National University will also organize design workshops for visitors aged 12 and above and exhibit design products created by its students and faculty.
The Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025 will host over 100 literary programs, 300+ publisher stalls, and books from more than 1,000 publishers, making it a true literary destination for book lovers and literature enthusiasts from Gujarat and across the country.
Alongside the book exhibitions, visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Author’s Stage, Pragna Shibir, Gyaan Ganga, Rangmanch, and Abhikalp. Notably, entry to the Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025 will be free for all visitors. DeshGujarat
