Ahmedabad: Satellite Police have booked three individuals for allegedly attacking municipal staff during an anti-encroachment operation near Iskcon Bridge on SG Highway this afternoon.
According to the FIR filed by an AMC officer, the Estate Department team from the South-West Zone was removing encroachments near the Shivalik Shilp building at Iskcon Crossroads around 1:45 pm. At that time, the accused Prem Singh Yadav, Jay Singh Yadav, and Charan Singh Yadav, all residents of the Satellite area, confronted the team, demanding the return of seized goods. The situation escalated when one of the accused allegedly struck a worker, Vishalbhai Deepakbhai Patni, on the head with a stick, causing bleeding injuries.
The injured worker was immediately shifted to a private hospital for treatment in a 108 ambulance. The accused reportedly abused and threatened the officials, obstructing them from performing their lawful duties.
