Vadodara: The menace of stray cattle in Vadodara city has turned fatal once again, claiming the life of a young biker and leaving another seriously injured in two separate accidents that occurred on the same night.
The first accident took place near Mehsana Nagar, where biker Sandeep Negi was fatally hit by a stray cattle late at night. CCTV footage of the incident has come to light showing that a cow suddenly ran onto the road, colliding with Negi’s motorcycle and throwing him off balance. Due to the fall, Negi sustained severe injuries and died shortly after the accident.
In a separate incident the same night, near the Soma Talav area, a stray cattle suddenly appeared on the road, causing another accident. Again, a young man riding his Royal Enfield motorcycle collided with the animal and was dragged for several meters on the road. The injured biker was rushed to a nearby hospital and has been undergoing treatment.
The back-to-back incidents on the same night have reignited public anger over the Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s (VMC) alleged negligence. Citizens claim that despite repeated complaints and assurances, the civic body has failed to effectively address the stray cattle menace. DeshGujarat
