AMC water supply to be partially disrupted in parts of Ahmedabad on Dec 5
December 03, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced a temporary disruption in water supply in the western zone of the city due to essential maintenance work under the Engineer Water Project.
The work includes leakage repairs near the Jail Department premises on the approach to RTO Circle, close to Chimanbhai Patel Overbridge, in the 1600 mm diameter Western Tank Main line supplying water from Kotarpur Water Works. Additionally, plate cutting work will be carried out by connecting the feeder line of Akash Darshan Water Distribution Station near Motera Char Rasta with the existing 1300 mm diameter line.
For these works, a shutdown of the Western Tank main line will be taken on December 5, 2025. As a result, evening water supply will be suspended from all water distribution stations dependent on the Kotarpur Western Tank Mains in the western zone, except for Ranip Ward, Nrityanagar, and Balolnagar stations of Wadaj Ward.
The AMC stated that on December 6, 2025, morning and evening water supply will be provided based on the available water quantity. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance. DeshGujarat
