Sections of Sabarmati Riverfront Shut Amid Detailed Inspection of Subhash Bridge
December 04, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced the closure of Subhash Bridge over the Sabarmati River for five days starting December 4, 2025, to carry out a detailed structural inspection by the Bridge Project Department in the West Zone.
As an added precaution, AMC has also closed the following adjoining areas to the public:
-
The lower promenade of the Sabarmati Riverfront located beneath Subhash Bridge on both the east and west sides
-
The main Riverfront road on the eastern side—from Narayan Ghat to Subhash Bridge Garden Gate No. 1
AMC has advised commuters to use the alternative route from Subhash Bridge Gate No. 1 towards the police chowki.
The traffic restrictions and diversions will remain in force until further instructions. Citizens have been requested to take note of the closures and plan their travel accordingly. DeshGujarat
