Ahmedabad Airport issues passenger advisory amid IndiGo cancellations
December 09, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport on Monday issued an advisory informing passengers that IndiGo Airlines may continue to face delays and flight cancellations over the next few days. Travellers have been urged to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
“IndiGo services from Ahmedabad Airport may experience some delays and cancellations for the next few days. Airport operations remain normal today, and passengers are advised to check the latest flight status with their airline before leaving for the airport. Our on-ground teams are available to assist as required. Thank you for your cooperation,” the advisory said.
This comes as IndiGo cancelled nearly 350 flights at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport between December 3 and December 8 due to staff shortages, contributing to thousands of cancellations nationwide. Although airline operations are gradually stabilising, airport officials said more planned cancellations are likely in the coming week, though not as extensive as those seen over the past six days.
Notably, on Monday itself, more than 40 IndiGo flights to and from Ahmedabad were cancelled. DeshGujarat
