India vs New Zealand Vadodara ODI tickets online sale from January 1
December 29, 2025
Vadodara: Tickets for the first One-Day International of the three-match series between India and New Zealand, scheduled to be played in the city on January 11, will be available online from January 1. The match will be played at the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) Stadium in Kotambi, and the announcement regarding ticket sales was made on Sunday.
This match is highly anticipated by cricket-loving Barodians as the city will host a men’s international ODI after 16 years. The BCCI has scheduled the first ODI between India and New Zealand in Vadodara on January 11, 2026, marking the city’s return to international men’s cricket after 2010. Notably, this will also be the first international match of the Indian cricket team in 2026.
How to get the tickets
BCA Secretary Ajit Lele said that tickets for the match will be available exclusively online through BookMyShow. The sale of tickets will go live at 11 am on January 1.
Meanwhile, around 1,800 BCA members will receive complimentary passes to watch the match. For members, special arrangements have been made at the Sanskruti Conference Hall in Alembic City Avenue and at the Motibaug Cricket Ground for the distribution of two match passes along with hospitality benefits. Passes can be collected between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm on January 6 and 7.
Members will be required to carry their biometric card or a valid government-approved photo ID to collect the passes. If a member authorises another person to collect the passes, the authorised person must carry a signed authorisation letter along with a copy of the member’s ID proof. During these two days, a maximum of two passes per day will be issued to any authorised person.
With this announcement, cricket enthusiasts in the city have already begun preparations to secure their tickets online ahead of the high-voltage India–New Zealand clash. Coincidentally, the last ODI hosted by Vadodara in 2010 was also between India and New Zealand at Reliance Stadium, where India registered a nine-wicket victory.
The ₹250-crore Kotambi Stadium, with a seating capacity of 35,000, has already hosted an India–West Indies women’s ODI in December 2024 and Women’s Premier League matches earlier this year. With the upcoming India–New Zealand ODI, Vadodara reclaims its place on India’s international cricket map, and the city’s fans are gearing up for a grand return. DeshGujarat
