Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will develop an open party plot in Thaltej.

According to AMC officials, Thaltej ward spans an area of about 37 square kilometers and includes Gurukul Road, Sindhubhavan Road, Thaltej, Shilaj, Bhadaj, Hebatpur, Bopal and Ghuma Town Planning (TP) areas. At present, there is no designated party plot facility in Bhadaj area of Thaltej ward.

To provide such a facility in this rapidly growing locality, AMC has decided to develop an open party plot in Town Planning Scheme (TP) 301, Final Plot No. 247. The plot, which is earmarked for social infrastructure, measures 10,772.18 square meters.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹6.50 crore, while the tender amount stands at ₹4.27 crore, which is 11.61 per cent lower than the estimated cost.

The design consultancy for the project has been awarded to Rupesh R. Modi, while the construction contract has been given to KB Builders.

The proposed party plot will include a kitchen block with a built-up area of 177 sq m, a toilet block of 104 sq m, and a bride and groom room of 97 sq m. The total built-up area will be 458 sq m. In addition, a parking area of 5,454.26 sq m will be developed to accommodate 596 two-wheelers and 107 four-wheelers. DeshGujarat
