Over 3500 duplicate Fevikwik tubes seized from godown in Gujarat

Gondal: Local police have registered a case under the Copyright Act after seizing 3,612 duplicate tubes of One Drop Instant Adhesive Fevikwik from the godown of H.P. Trade Company in Udyognagar, Gondal. The firm, which deals in soap and cosmetic items on a retail and wholesale basis, was allegedly selling counterfeit Fevikwik products in the market.
The complaint was filed at Gondal B Division Police Station by Bhushan Mahendrabhai Dani, a resident of Narayannagar in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad, and an authorised representative of Pidilite Industries Ltd. He stated that he has been empowered through a power of attorney to take legal action against anyone duplicating and selling the company’s products. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at the godown located opposite Krishna Way-Bridge in Udyognagar and recovered counterfeit Fevikwik tubes with packaging resembling the original brand. The seized goods, valued at Rs 18,060, were confiscated, and a case was registered against Prashant alias Pintu Rameshbhai Kansagra (37), a businessman from Gondal, for alleged violations of the Copyright Act.
