Kutch: Waaree Energies Ltd has begun operations at its new solar module manufacturing facility in Samakhiali, Kutch, Gujarat, adding 3,000 MW of annual production capacity.

The plant, developed through its wholly owned subsidiary Sangam Solar One Private Limited, features four production lines of 750 MW each, bringing the total installed capacity to 3,000 MW per year.

This development aligns with the company’s broader expansion strategy. In March, Waaree Energies approved a capital expenditure of ₹3,900 crore to establish a glass manufacturing unit with a daily capacity of 2,500 tonnes under its subsidiary Waaree Green Glass Private Limited.

On the international front, the company is also expanding its global presence. Its subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas Inc., recently signed a $30 million share subscription agreement with United Solar Holdings Inc. DeshGujarat
