The weather activity is attributed to a western disturbance currently positioned over northeast Pakistan and adjoining Afghanistan, along with associated cyclonic circulations over the region.

In Ahmedabad and surrounding areas, the forecast indicates a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershowers, while the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36°C.

However, the weather is expected to stabilise from Wednesday, with dry conditions likely to prevail across Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch, and the Union Territories of Diu, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the following five days.

Looking ahead, the IMD has indicated a gradual rise in temperatures by 2–4°C after the next 48 hours. Additionally, hot and humid conditions are likely to develop in coastal areas of Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch between April 11 and April 13, leading to discomfort for residents.

No significant weather changes are expected beyond this period, the IMD added. DeshGujarat
