Bicchu Gang’s Asfaq Sheikh, Aides Allegedly Assault Rickshaw Puller in Yakutpura

Vadodara: An incident of assault has come to light from the Yakutpura area, where an alleged member of the Bicchu gang, recently released from jail after earlier being booked under the GujCTOC Act, along with his associates, reportedly attacked a rickshaw puller. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, raising concerns about the gang’s renewed activity in the area.

According to a complaint filed by Naimuddin Basiruddin Syed (52), a resident near Minara Masjid in Yakutpura, the incident occurred on April 5 at around 7:30 pm. The accused, Sajid Golumiya Sheikh alias Pehlwan, Asfaq Iqbalmiya Sheikh, and Firoz Jelani Sheikh, allegedly assaulted him with a wooden stick following a dispute that had taken place a day earlier, on April 4.

The complainant stated that the accused arrived near his residence and attacked him, reportedly threatening him over the previous altercation. His elder brother, Nasiruddin Syed, who intervened, was also assaulted during the incident. The attackers fled the spot after local residents began to gather.

The entire sequence was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Based on the footage, police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused. Further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
