Dhirubhai H. Ambani’s native place Chorwad will witness a great fanfare on 27th and 28th December 2011.

A memorial in his name will be opened in Chorwad on 80th birth anniversary of Dhirubhai Ambani.

The renowned Bhagvadacharya Pujya Bhai Shri Rameshbhai Oza will formally inaugurate the memorial amidst presence of Mrs Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani, two sons Mr. Mukesh Ambani and Mr. Anil Ambani as well as daughters Mrs Dipti Salgaonkar and Mrs Neena Kothari; and all family members.

The entire family will also remain present in a religious ceremony at Goddess Chorwadi temple on the evening of Dhirubhai H. Ambani Memorial is at the same place where Dhirubhai spent his childhood.

A rented section of the bungalow then called ‘Mangarolwalo Delo’ was the place where Dhirubhai lived. Dhirubhai had purchased the entire bungalow premises in 2002; which is now renamed as ‘Dhirubhaino Delo’.

Mrs Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani, in a humble attempt to keep husband’s memories alive, founded the Dhirubhai H. Ambani Memorial.

It is a reminder to the fact that a patriarch and a pride of nation Dhirubhai Ambani came from a very modest village background.

The Memorial will depict the great efforts Dhirubhai made to realize his dreams and also give an opportunity to know the vibrant personality of the legendary Dhirubhai H. Ambani Memorial is housed in three sections viz. a pictorial gallery, old house of Dhirubhai and an auditorium.

Pictorial gallery shows Dhirubhai’s life-journey through pictures; his old dwelling is arranged the way it was and the auditorium is for screening a short film on glorious life of Dhirubhai Ambani.

Kokilaben arrives

Smt Kokilaben Ambani reached Chorwad today morning in a helicopter. Mukesh and Anil Ambani will arrive tomorrow in helicopter with family. A special helipad has been made near the village.
