BJP MLA’s son joins Congress party, MLA says son not worth for even a Gram Panchayat election

Saurabh Patel, son of Gandevi BJP MLA Lakshmanbhai Patel today joined Congress party with 1500 supporters in presence of Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia at a function organized by Bharatiya Samanata Sangh in Bilimora.

According to the statement issued by the Gujarat Congress, Bharatiya Samanata Sangh’s President Saurabh Patel, vice president and Councillor Bharat Rawal, Ushaben Solanki, Taluka BJP vice president Bachubhai Patel and Gajendrabhai advocate group announced their decision to join the BJP. Gujarat Congress President welcomed them and offered tricolor scarves of Congress party to them.

Lakshmanbhai’s reaction

DeshGujarat talked to Lakshmanbhai over phone to know his reaction. Lakshmanbhai said, “my son believes in different ideology. Let him go wherever he wants to.”

Lakshmanbhai added that his son is not suitable of even a gram panchayat seat, forget about assembly.

Lakshmanbhai said that he would work with double force from now on. Lakshmabhai also said that the Congress party is lying when it says that 1500 people have switched over from BJP.

“Few people who have joined Congress have negligible or no influence locally. You can ask the people here and verify this,” he said.
