Somabhai Patel resigns from Limbdi assembly seat(Video)

Somabhai Patel, a Lok Sabha MP of Surendranagar seat in Gujarat has taken a decision to resign from Limbdi assembly seat. Somabhai was elected as Lok Sabha MP in 2009 general elections. On party’s order, he later contested from Limbdi assembly seat in recently concluded Gujarat elections. Somabhai had to take decision on whether to hold assembly seat or Lok Sabha seat. In consultation with the party high command in Delhi, he has finally taken a decision to leave the assembly seat. He will continue to become Lok Sabha MP. This would invite assembly by-poll in Limbdi in next six months. Somabhai won Limbdi assembly seat with thin margin against BJP’s then minister of state Kiritsinh Rana.
