Babubhai Bokhiria rejoins office, Congress meets Governor

Porbandar MLA and Water resources minister Shri Babubhai Bokhiria today rejoined his office after halt of almost one month.
Bokhiria who is only cabinet minister in Modi’s ministry from Saurashtra region was convicted in Rs. 54 crore illegal mining case. The case was filed when he was not minister. While local court in Porbandar convicted him and gave 3 years jail term, the district court later stayed sentence.
Bokhiria may now also attend cabinet meeting. The next cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Gujarat Congress delegation led by leader of opposition Shri Shankersinh Vaghela today called on Governor Dr. Kamla Beniwal and submitted a memorandum demanding disqualification of Bokhiria and immediate installation of Lokayukta.
