After Rs. 11 crore revamped work, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation owned Tagore hall was reopened today for public by Revenue minister Anandiben Patel. Water proofing, exposed concrete rendering, cleaning, green room, new toilets, renovated waiting foyer, new ramp for specially abled people and senior citizens, new entrance area and approach road built using flamed granite, 12×24 size stainless steel portrait of Ravindranath Tagore and his Bengali signature, new stage, automatic motorized lighting arrangement, 144 deem-able lighting channel, cyclorama, a curtain that can move in both horizontal and vertical directions etc are some works done during the process of revamping. 32 channel digital mixer, 8 monitors, 2 side fills, speakers, microphones, new soundproofing are some other works completed. New air condition system, Varli painting art work, new ceiling with dimmer lights, murals of chimneys of mills, cafeteria decorated by a sculpture of bird which was sketched by Tagore are some other features in revamped version of hall.
