Senior NCP leader Praful Patel today rejected reports that he is joining BJP.

“The media reports of my joining the BJP are baseless and mischevious,” Patel said.

A section of the media had reported that Patel could join BJP after the results of the Lok Sabha elections are announced.

They had also suggested that he would resign from the Gondia seat and contest again on a BJP ticket from the same constituency.

Due to anti-incumbency and Modi wave, Praful faced toughest challenge in Gondia, his constituency during the Lok Sabha elections this time. Modi had however not addressed rally for Praful’s rival candidate in Gondia.
