Gujarat BJP constitutes disciplinary committee, Om Mathur to visit 17 assembly seats

Gujarat BJP President RC Faldu today constituted a disciplinary committee of party headed by former Ahmedabad Mayor Praful Barot as its Chairman. The other four members of the committee are former Kutch MP Pushpadan Gadhvi, Kanubhai Mavani, Rajkot MP Mohan Kundaria and former Vadodara MP Jayaben Thakkar.
A state level meeting of BJP held today at party headquarters ‘Kamalam’ in Gandhinagar took decision that State party incharge Shri Om Mathur will travel to 17 assembly segments where by-polls are to be held in next six months(9 seats to witness assembly by-polls, 7 assembly segments are part of Vadodara Lok Sabha seat where by-polls shall to be held in next six months, and one assembly segment of Junagadh where Municipal Corporation general elections are to be held in couple of months). The tour of Shri Mathur will begin by end of May.
According to state party spokesperson Shri IK Jadeja, BJP’s elected members and organizational cadre will participate and thus complement the state government’s 12-14 June rural and 19-21 June urban drive for school enrollment and girl child education. Party’s Kisan morcha will give various programmes during year 2014-15 which has been declared Agriculture Development year by state government. Party will also hold various events during 23-15 June on occasions of Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee balidan divas and Katokati divas.
