Another kite flying related accidental death in pre-Uttarayan season

There’s another incident of accidental death in Pre-Uttarayan season. A 6th standard 14-year old boy on Saturday died while flying kite on rooftop when kite string touched a high tension line in Udhna area of Surat.
The incident took place in Sanjaynagar in Udhna area of Surat. Vipul Jayantibhai Rathod was only brother of five sisters. He was taken to Smimer hospital where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile Surat Municipal Corporation has started crackdown on illegal selling of Chinese string. 165 units are served notice and Rs. 35,600 administrative charge has been collected from them.
