Addressing a session titled as “Smart Cities for Next Generation”, Gujarat Urban Development department Addition Chief Secretary GR Aloria said that several policies are in pipeline at present in Gujarat so far as urban development is concerned.

He said, “Gujarat government has announced affordable housing policy and slum redevelopment policy through PPP. Now redevelopment and retrofitting policy are n pipeline.”

“Vision 2030 – urban vision for Gujarat is in pipeline. Zero waste in municipal areas is in pipeline. Municipal finance policy is also in pipeline and in very short period it will be announced,” he further said.

It has to be mentioned that Gujarat Chief Minister in her valedictory session speech on the second and the last day of 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit today said that while government has announced some policies before Vibrant summit, rest of the policies will be announced in next one month period.
