GCTOC bill: Gujarat Congress delegation to meet the President

Gujarat Congress today in a statement said that a delegation of senior leaders of Gujarat Congress and MLAs will seek time to meet the President of India to request him for disapproval to GCTOC bill passed by Gujarat Assembly.
The bill which was passed by the assembly has been approved by Governor and it has been sent to centre for further approval from union Home ministry and President of India.
Gujarat Congress today in its statement said that earlier when Governor sent GUJCOC bill to Delhi for approval of President, BJP was making allegations that Governor was working on direction of Congress party, but even present Governor has done the same because it is as per prescribed rules.
It should be mentioned that Gujarat Congress has been opposing the GCTOC bill due to some sections that it believes should be removed.
