New elected GCI President Modi visits Motera stadium(PHOTOS)

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, now also a President of Gujarat Cricket Asociation(GCI), visited Ahmedabad’s Motera based Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Cricket stadium today.
Modi visited all the facilities in and around the cricket ground and formally discussed the affairs of GCI with former players, umpires and others regarding the status of the game in the state. . He met users of the facilities as well.
According to a state government release, Modi discussed various aspects like selection of players from district to state level, physical fitness, umpires, coaching, grounds and other infrastructure facilities.
He also met 25 former Ranji players and asked them to contribute for the development of the game in the state.
“Gujarat is committed to promote and develop cricket at the national level,” he said.
Gujarat government will prepare a blueprint to promote cricket and develop necessary infrastructure for the sports in the state, said Modi.
Amit Shah, Vice President of GCI who is also a minister of state for Home, accompanied Modi in this visit.
It should be mentioned here that last week Narendra Modi was unopposed elected President of GCI while Amit Shah was elected Vice President at Anual General Meeting.
