Muslims greet Mahant, offer Eidi to children in Rath Yatra

A group of Muslim including local politician Hasan Lala today felicitated Mahant of Jagannath Mandir Shri Dilipdasji Maharaj in Dariapur area.
They offered garlands and turban to Dilipdasji Maharaj. In exchange, Maharaj and Jagannath Mandir trustee Mahendra Jha offered saffron scarfs to Muslims.
Hasan Lala said he today witnessed Rath Yatris greeting Eid Mubarak to Hindus. He said, like every year Jagannath Mandir Mahant donated Rs 2,100 to Bengali Masjid.
In another example of communal harmony, local Muslims were seen giving Rs 10 currency notes as Eidi(a small amount of donation) to Hindu children who were part of Rath Yatra procession.
