Rajnath speaks to CM, NDRF team moved from Pune, CM leaves for flood affected areas by road

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh today spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister smt Anandiben Patel over phone call.
Rajnath in his series of tweets said: “Spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel who apprised me of the flood situation in the state. The centre has rushed 4 NDRF teams from Pune. The cente is providing all assistance to Gujarat government. NDRF teams are active on the ground rescuing people in flood affected d areas. The centre is monitoring the flood situation in Gujarat and other flood affected areas in the country.”
In another development, Gujarat Chief Minister today left Gandhinagar to visit the flood affected areas of north Gujarat. Her earlier plan was to conduct aerial survey of flood affected areas of north Gujarat, but as the atmosphere was not conductive due to rainfall and strong winds, she decided to go to the affected areas by road.
The Chief Minister tweeted: In short while from now, will be leaving for Mehsana, Banaskantha and other areas of north Gujarat to assess the ground situation after incessant rains.
