Gujarat Chief Minister today reviewed the rain and flood situation in district headquarters Mahesana in north Gujarat.
She instructed officials to give priority to drinking water supply restoration.
She instructed to start water supply through tanker where electricity supply was affected(and therefore pump houses could not be operated).
She instructed to mobilise more rescue teams from lesser affected nearby districts and cities.
The Chief Minister reached Mahesana in the afternoon to review the situation of flood in north Gujarat. Today’s state cabinet meeting was canceled. Due to rainfall and strong winds, Chief Minister’s helicopter could not fly and therefore the idea of aerial survey was dropped. The Chief Minister then decided to visit flood affected areas by road.
