Hardik Patel postpones his ‘reverse Dandi yatra’ to next Sunday

Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) Convener Hardik Patel today in Surat said he has postponed his tomorrow’s ‘reverse Dandi march’ from Dandi in south Gujarat to Ahmedabad.
The administration has denied permission to Hardik Patel to hold Dandi march citing law and order situation. Prohibitory orders were issued in Navsari and Surat district following Hardik’s plan to start the march. Para military forces were called and deployed in the area.
33 village sarpanchs of Kantha area in Dandi belt are opposing Hardik’s Dandi yatra plan. They marched to district collector’s office coupld of days back and submitted memorandum requesting not to grant permission to Hardik to hold proposed march. They had also planned rally protesting Hardik’s march plan, but district administration denied permission to hold such rally. Even Other Backward Class(OBC) gathering against the idea of including Patidars into OBC list was canceled following prohibitory orders.
Hardik today speaking to media persons in Surat said that he will hold ‘reverse Dandi march’ on next Sunday and government should grant him permission for that or otherwise he would march without permission.
Hardik had stated same earlier too but today he postponed his march.
As at least four party plot owners denied venue to Hardik to hold press conference, Hardik had to address the media on road opposite Star bazar in Adajan area.
