Two students of the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) in Gujarat have cracked the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) examination conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC).
Makwana Varunkumar Bhailalbhai has ranked 105 and Samrat Divyajit Chandrajit has secured the 178th slot in the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant exam 2015. Results were declared on February 9, 2016.
“This year, CAPF had only 224 vacancies and therefore, there was fierce competition at an all India level. Both our students hail from humble middle class families from small towns like Kalol and Patan, but through their sheer hard work and support and infrastructure provided by SPIPA, both for the written and the interview stage, they have cleared the examination and have come out with flying colors,” said Shri Vipul Mittra (IAS), Director General, SPIPA.
Every year, UPSC conducts the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
SPIPA has already announced an infrastructure refurbish projects worth Rs. 135.42 crore for which tenders have already been floated.
SPIPA has also laid focus on going deeper into regions with regional training centers for administrative education.
