Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) announced today that water is being released from the Ajwa and Pratappura reservoirs into the Vishwamitri River, which flows through the city. The VMC, via a social media post at around 7:30 AM today, said, "The water level of the Vishwamitri River is 15 feet, and the gates of the Ajwa and Pratappura dams have been opened. Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation(VMC) has released 9,120 cusecs water from Ajwa dam by opening its all 62 gates. Water is also released from Pratappura reservoir. The water will flow in Vishwamitri river which passes through the city of Vadodara. Vadodara: Tuesday morning brings some relief to the people of the city, as the water level of the Ajwa Sarovar Reservoir starts decreasing early in the morning. At around 1:50 AM, the water level at Ajwa is at 214.67 feet, and since then, it has been receding continuously. Vadodara: As the water level of Vishwamitri river came down to around 16 ft level (beyond 20 ft), the release of water from Ajwa dam is resumed. 62 gates of Ajwa dam are open now to maintain the level at 211 ft.
