Morbi: The administration has begun repair work on Machhu-2 Dam in Morbi. After receiving the green light from the government, two gates of the dam were opened at 4 PM today by two feet. Water is being released in phases, starting from 1,300 cusecs and increasing up to 3,500 cusecs. A total of 20 villages in Morbi taluka and 9 villages in Maliya taluka have been alerted. Rajkot: A dam will  come up on the Beti river in Rajkot after the Airport Authority has given its ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for the project.
