Gandhinagar: Many parts of Gujarat received widespread rainfall in the past 24 hours ending at 6 am today, with Jambughoda in Panchmahal district recording the highest at 205 mm (8.1 inches), according to official data released on Saturday. As per IMD classification, this falls under the category of extremely heavy rainfall, defined as rainfall exceeding 8 inches. Gujarat govt suspends Jambughoda Mamlatdar

Vadodara: The Government of Gujarat has suspended the Mamlatdar of Jambughoda over Vechan Nondh (sale entry) of ceiling land at Dabhoi. The land was recorded as ceiling land, but a Vechan Nondh was made, following which a probe was launched. The report of the probe was submitted to the Revenue Department, after which the government decided to suspend the then Deputy Mamlatdar of Dabhoi, Y.C.
