Delhi: A Delhi court issued a non-bailable warrant on Wednesday against controversial NGO operator Medha Patkar after she failed to meet the conditions of her release on probation. Patkar had been convicted in a defamation case filed by Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena. New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted NGO operator Medha Patkar one year of probation in a 24-year-old defamation case filed by current Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena. Additional Sessions Judge Vishal Singh of the Saket court ruled that the offense was not serious enough for imprisonment and released her on probation for good conduct. New Delhi: Delhi court has sentenced a controversial NGO operator Medha Patkar to five months imprisonment in a 23-year-old criminal defamation case filed by Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena.
