Surendranagar: Three men died from asphyxiation on Saturday while digging in an illegal coal mine in Bhet village of Muli taluka. The incident occurred when a toxic gas leak happened in a 100-foot deep pit on government wasteland. None of the deceased were wearing safety gear such as helmets or gas masks, the police said on Sunday. Surendranagar: Muli police have nabbed an accused for allegedly using water for irrigation by rupturing the air-valve of a drinking water pipeline passing from Manpar in Muli taluka in Surendranagar.
