Dwarka: The local administration of Devbhumi Dwarka district has temporarily closed the Dwarka-based Sudama Setu bridge in the wake of the Morbi hanging bridge collapse tragedy in which over 140 persons are dead. A cable suspension bridge in the pilgrim town Dwarka connects the portion behind the Dwarka temple to a nearby island of religious importance. October 13, 2011Dwarka, 13 October, 2011 Five months back groundbreaking ceremony of Rs. 9.5 crore Sudama setu project was performed by state tourism minister at Dwarka, and it was announced that construction of propose bridge connecting Gomti ghat and Panchkui island would complete in 14 months.
