Hindu Devipoojaks attacked in Raska village, 6 injured

It was said to be a land dispute in root that resulted into a full scale communal clash in central Gujarat’s Kheda district’s Mahemdavad taluka based Raska village where six Hindu Devipoojaks, attacked by Muslims were injured on Sunday night this week. Two Devipoojak Hindus seriously injured were taken to Ahmedabad’s Civil hospital for further treatment.
According to details available, Raska based Somabhai Ghelabhai Devipoojak is farmer. For last several years, there is a dispute going on between Devipoojaks and minority community in this village. On Sunday nights a group of Muslims having sharp weapons, sticks and steel pipes with them attacked Somabhai Devipoojak and his relatives who stay near Khodiar Mandir. In this sudden attack, Prabhatbhai Somabhai Devipoojak, Tejalben Mansibhai Devipoojak, Somabhai Ghelabhai Devipoojak, Babubhai Bababhai Devipoojak, Champaben Ambalal Devipoojak were injured.
Mahemdavad police staff led by PSI R.K.Modia rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. A complaint has been lodged against Nannumiya Hussainmiya Malek, Aiyubmiya, Mohammadmiya, Kalumiya, Sabirmiya, Yakubmiya, Yusufmiya, Sabirmiya, Babumiya, Bodamiya, Ahmedmiya, Bhuramiya, and Bhuramiya Malek.
