Gandhinagar: Political developments on Wedneseday, November 22 in brief:
– PAAS hooligans pelted stones on office of BJP’s VD Zalavadia in Kiran chowk area of Poona gaam in Surat.
– Congress party’s Pithabhai Nakum today joined BJP with 50 supporters at Rajula in Amreli. Nakum is chief of Rajula unit of Congress party and local taluka panchayat.
– Gujarat Congress’s manifesto committee meeting will be held tomorrow. Likely date of announcement of manifesto is November 26.
– Rajput community has welcomed Gujarat government decision to ban releaes of controversial film Padmavati. Rajputs celebrated the announcement at several places including Rajkot by bursting crackers.
– Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be on Gujarat visit on 24-25 November. His public functions are organized in Porbandar and Sanand. At Porbandar he will meet fishermen and also visit Kirti Mandir which is the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi, while at Sanand he will meet Dalits.
– 69 Jan Vikalp candidates have filed nominations in first phase of Gujarat election under the banner and symbol(tractor) of ally party All India Hindustan Congress, said Shankersinh Vaghela to media persons in Amdavad. All India Hindustan Congress Party which claimed they have not fielded their candidates against BJP’s Vijay Rupani and Jitubhai Vaghani and also against Congress’ Shaktisinh Gohil and Paresh Dhanani.
