HM Shah, CR Patil, Nathwani, Adani, Morari Bapu cast votes in Gujarat for Lok Sabha Polls

Ahmedabad: Polling for the General Elections for Lok Sabha is ongoing on 25 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat. Along with lakhs of voters exercising their right to vote, several prominent figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah also cast their votes in Gujarat today.

Prime Minister Modi cast his vote at around 7:30 am at a polling booth in the Ranip area of the city. After casting his vote, the Prime Minister greeted people who had gathered to vote and catch a glimpse of the son of the soil, Modi. Addressing the media, PM Modi said, “Today marks the third phase of voting. I appeal to my fellow countrymen about the great importance of ‘Daan’ in our nation, and in the same spirit, they should vote as much as possible. Four rounds of voting are still ahead. As a voter in Gujarat, this is the only place where I vote regularly, and Amit Bhai is contesting from here as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also exercised his franchise along with his wife Sonal Shah, his son and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, and his daughter-in-law Rishita Patel in Naranpura. After casting the vote, Shah also offered prayers at the Kameshwar Mahadev temple in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also cast his vote for Lok Sabha Polls. It is noteworthy that there was a huge crowd at the polling booth where CM was supposed to vote, and just like a common man, the CM along with his family exercised his franchise. Anuj Patel, son of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, who had suffered a severe brain stroke last year, also cast his vote after reaching the polling booth in a wheelchair.

Gujarat BJP President, who is also the party’s candidate from Navsari Lok Sabha seat, cast his vote along with his family in Surat.

 

Parimal Nathwani, Rajya Sabha MP and Director of Corporate Affairs at Reliance Industries Ltd, cast his vote in his hometown of Jam Khambaliya in Dwarka, Gujarat. Nathwani also appeals to everyone to come forward and vote for strengthening the nation.

Union Minister and BJP candidate from Rajkot Lok Sabha seat, Parshottam Rupala, and Union Minister and candidate from Porbandar Lok Sabha seat, Mansukh Mandviya, also exercised their voting rights and appealed to the citizens to come forward and vote.

Chairman of Adani Group, Gautam Adani, along with his family, also cast their vote in Ahmedabad. After casting the vote, Adani said, “Proud to have voted with my family today. Voting is a right, a privilege, and a responsibility we all share as citizens of this great nation. Every vote is a powerful voice in our democracy. Cast your vote for shaping the future of India.”
