I have no problem even if Finance portfolio is given back to Nitinbhai: Saurabh Patel
December 31, 2017
Gandhinagar:
Incumbent Finance and Energy Minister Saurabh Patel today said that he had no problem even if the finance portfolio was given back to DyCM Nitin Patel.
Talking to newsmen here Saurabh Patel, who had made a strong re-entry in the Gujarat government with two important portfolios as cabinet rank minister, said that he had no problem even if Finance portfolio was given back to Nitinbhai.
Saurabh Patel was the Finance Minister in the erstwhile Anandiben government but was later dumped.
Nitin Patel whose Finance, Urban Development and housing and Petrochemicals departments were taken away from him during the portfolio allocation last on December 28 night was aggrieved at it and only took formal charge of the office today after 3 days of political drama on assurance of giving him some important portfolios by the high-command.
, Nitin Patel has currently Road and building, health and family welfare, medical education, Narmada, Kalpsar and capital Project departments instead of last times’ Finance, Urban Development and Urban Housing, Road and Building, Capital Project, Narmada, Kalpasar, Petrochemicals.
It is understood that he wanted the ‘creamy’ urban development department more than the Finance. One of his supporter and former minister Narrotam Patel after meeting him yesterday had also made a point about urban development ministry.
