Gujarat CM visits Dan wastewater plant at Shafdan in Israel

Tel Aviv: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on first day of his 6-day Israel tour visited the Dan region wastewater plant located a Shafdan. He discussed ow similar technology can be used to collect, treat and reclaim municipal wastewater in large and rapidly growing urban areas of Gujarat. Rupani had a very detailed discussion on technology and management aspects of water supply with CEO Mr. Ehud Hillel along with senior management of Mekorot, the national company responsible for water management in Israel. The delegation led by Rupani and officials of Mekorot company of Israel discussed the opportunities of collaboration in water management sector between Israel and Gujarat as certain challenges faced by both the sides are similar. Gujarat CM attended a presentation by Mr. Gal Shoham, professional instructor of Israel’s national water company Mekorot . He highlighted that a collaborative effort with Israel will help Gujarat achieving water security up to 2050.
