Railway Board Chairman reviews progress of Bullet train project in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Chairman Railway Board Vinod Kumar Yadav today reviewed the progress of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (Bullet Train) project.
The special elevated rail line currently under construction,when completed, will connect the cities of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and India’s economic hub Mumbai. It will be India’s first high-speed rail line.
Yadav along with railway board secretary and advisor (Infra) Sushant Kumar Mishra, MD of National High Speed Rail project Achal Khare and GM of Western Railway A K Gupta were also present in the meeting held in the divisional office of Railway here.
Railway PRO Pradeep Sharma said that Yadav saw the presentation of the Ahmedabad and Vadodara divisions about the progress of the project and instructed the concerned authorities to expedite the work.
He also visited Sabarmati railway station and reviewed and window inspected the alignment work between Ahmedabad and Sabarmati railway stations.He also visited the area on the Ahmedabad railway station where the high speed train related work from Saraspur side is taking place.
