On Saturday(11 September, 2011) evening, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation organized a Kavi sammelan in city’s Tagore hall under ‘Sanskar chauro’ initiative.

City Mayor attended the event throughout and appreciated poets for their creation. Krusha Dave (one of the poets) praised the mayor to encourage poets and hoped many more similar initiatives were take.

Gujarat’s best known contemporary poets graced the occasion. Some of the selected poetry from this event are presented in the video above.

Those in the video with their poetries are: Krushna Dave, Chinu Modi, Tushar Shukla, Harsh Brahmbhatt and Rajdendra Shukla. These are the ones who are going to leave their mark in Gujarati Literature.

The one that touched heart was ‘Em puchi ne na thai prem’ by Tushar Shukla

‘Dariyana moja kai reti ne puche tare bhijavu che, em puchi ne na thai prem.’
