Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya will be the new Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court

Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya one of the senior most judges of Calcutta High Court will take oath as Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court on November 8.
Justice Bhattacharya will replace Chief Justice S J Mukhopadhaya, who has been elevated to the Supreme Court. At present Justice A L Dave, the senior most judge of the Gujarat High Court has been officiating as in-charge Chief Justice.
B.Sc., LL.B. – Born on 29th September, 1952. Enrolled as an Advocate on 14th March, 1975. Designated as a Senior Advocate with effect from 19th December, 1994. Appointed as a permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 17th July, 1997
