53-member unit of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah joins Rann Utsav

Soon you will see Gujarat’s famous Kutch Rann Utsav in Sab TV’s popular TV serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah(TMKOC).
A 53-member team of TMKOC yesterday arrived at Kutch’s Dhordo tent city for shooting of episodes featuring the Rann Utsav. The team from Mumbai first reached Bhuj railway station, and then in Gujarat Tourism buses it completed its journey at Dhordo tent city.

Taram Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah serial is based on Gujarati author Tarakbhai Mehta’s series ‘Diniya ne undha chashma’ in Gujarati magazine Chitralekha.
A Kutchi Gujarati family of Jethalal Champaklal Gada is core part of the story in this serial.
TMKOC director Asit Modi had promised during his earlier visit to the district that he would come to Kutch with his unit to shoot an episode on character Champaklal Gada’s visit to his ancestor village Bhachau. After a year, Modi has now fulfilled his promise.

TMKOC has earlier featured Gujarat’s Uttarayan and Navratri in his serial. While Navratri shooting took place in Amdavad’s Rajpath club, the shooting of Uttarayan was done at late Speaker of Gujarat Assembly Shri Ashok Bhatt’s place in Khadia.
On Wednesday the scenes of arrival of Gokuldham families to Rann Utsav were captured. A camp fire was organized for shooting late in the evening. Today the unit of going to shoot Gokuldham families in the middle of the white rann of Kutch, which has become a big tourist attraction in recent years, thanks to Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s desire and film star Amitabh Bachchan’s promotion.

-Character Goli wants to eat Kutchi Dabeli.
-Grandson Tapu asks, which village is this, his dadaji Champaklal Gada replies this is not any village, but it is a Dhordo tent city set up by the Gujarat Tourism.
-All families of Gokuldham society step out of the bus and touch the land of Kutch. They literally dance with joy.
-All members of Gokuldham society are welcomed with garlands, but nobody offers garland to Mr. Aiyar. Mr. Aiyar finally wears garland himself.
