Congress to organize Kshatriya rally in Patan, mobilization of Thakor voters targeted

Gujarat Congress will organize Kshatriya Asmita Sammelan in north Gujarat’s Patan this Sunday, Congress MP Jagdish Thakor announced here in a press meet adding that around 60-70000 Kshatriyas will attend the event under the banner of Uttar Gujarat Rajput Samaj(led by Congress leader CJ Chavda), Gujarat Thakor Kshtriya Kelavani Mandal(led by Congress leader Baldevji Thakor), Jay Somnath Trust and Gujarat Jagidar Samaj. The function will be held at University ground. It has been titled as ‘Kshatriya Asmita Sammelan’. Gujarat Congress leaders Shankersinh Vaghela, Bharatsinh Solanki and others will address the rally. It should be mentioned here that Thakor vote bank which forms major part of the Kshatriya votes plays important role in several seats of north Gujarat. This rally is seen as an attempt to mobilize Thakor voters in favor of Congress party ahead of the Gujarat assembly poll scheduled to take place by the end of this year.
