Figures suggest ‘Ghar nu ghar’ remains to be a serious issue. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has received 40,453 applications for proposed allotment of 9,953 affordable housing units.
The AMC will make allotment of new housing units through draw system, after gigantic process of scrutiny of applications. Due to lack of proper response in initial phase, AMC had extended the date of application.
For 5,082 EWS units 31,207 applications are received, while for 4,877 low income group houses 9,426 applications are received.
