Paswan’s LJP now part of NDA

Ahmedabad, 27 February 2014

Ramvilas Paswan led Lok Janshakti party today joined the National Democratic Alliance led by BJP.

The joint statement reads that Congress free India is needed today and entire nation is witnessing wave of change. Formation of NDA govt led by Narendra Modi is needed today. Comprehensive development, good governance and impressive government is needed today. BJP and LJP will contest year 2014 elections jointly. LJP will contest on Hajipur, Samastipur, Jamui, Munger, Vaishali, Nalanda and Khagadia seats.

After joining the NDA, Paswan said Dalits are aligned with NDA now through his party joining NDA, Udit Raj joining BJP and Ramdas Athwale as part of NDA.

Opinions in social media:

Large section of BJP followers believe that LJP is worth its price tag(of 7 seats) if only to expose the hypocrisy of secular politics as practiced in India. It is also discussed that Paswan’s joining has crushed a myth propogated by anti-Modi gang that Modi can’t attract new partners for NDA.Another thing discussed is that Chirag Paswan, son of Ramvilas Paswan is Modi’s fan and he is the architect of the idea of bringing LJP to NDA. Chirag’s mother and Ramvilas Paswan’s wife is Punjabi Brahmin. Another thing being discussed is that Paswan and Udit Raj’s induction will help breaking Maya’s Dalit vote bank in eastern UP.
