Ahmedabad, 26 March 2014
As expected Kandhal Jadeja is all set to be declared as candidate for Porbandar Lok Sabha seat. Kandhal belongs to Nationalist Congress Party(NCP). He is MLA of Kutiyana. Congress has taken a decision to allot Porbandar seat to NCP. Kandhal is son of late Santokben Jadeja and Sarman Munja. He belongs to Maher community. He may eat some BJP votes due to caste factor. Kandhal’s rival BJP candidate Vitthal Radadia(sitting MP) belongs to Leuva Patel community. While Radadia will enjoy full support in the areas other than Porbandar and partial support in Porbandar, Kandhal may get his share of votes in and around Porbandar. Insiders say Congress is aware Kandhal may not be able to defeat Radadia, but his candidature will at least limit Radadia’s movements to areas under Porbandar seat. Kandhal’s candidature is strategic, and aimed at limiting Radadia’s movement to his own seat.
